We Don't Send Faxes We have been receiving complaints about an unsolicited fax with the phrase "Stock Alert" in it. We do not send faxes at all. This is NOT our fax. You may wish to contact your phone company to see if they can block or identify the source of the faxes. You might also complain to the company whose stock is promoted, the FCC and/or the SEC. The companies that are promoted in these faxes are likely to know who sends them. The hyped-up company may send the faxes directly, or be working with a promotional company. Sending them a scary legal warning may discourage them from further participation in these inflation schemes. Mention that they have been reported to the FCC and the SEC for further investigation for (1) the practice of illegal fax spamming and (2) illegal market manipulation. We've seen copies of the fax and although they use the phrase "Stock Alerts", they do not say "StockAlerts.com", reference our URL or use our logo. We could not even claim in court that they are impersonating us. StockAlerts.com has never sent faxes of any kind nor contracted third parties to do so. And our service is entirely voluntary. We only contact people who sign up at our site and only via email, pagers and cell phones. Since we're not sending the fax and don't know who is, this is all the assistance we can provide you. We think your potential actions are: Contact your phone company to identify and/or block the source. Complain to the company being promoted and reference both the SEC and FCC as described above.
